Colour combinations with taupe
Whether you have a bohemian living style or rather rural or modern, taupe fits pretty much any interior. Below you can see colour palettes with a specific taupe for your living style. The combinations each consist of 3 paint colours so you can apply the 60-30-10 principle.
60% is the main colour (this is usually the lightest colour), 30% is the colour that balances everything (in this case this will often be a taupe colour) and 10% is then the accent colour (this can be either a lively colour or a colour that brings contrast).

Taupe combination for an industrial interior
In industrial interiors, shades of grey are essential. But taupe also does very well here, because the colour grey is strongly emphasised here. At Tintrio, for example, we find the colour Taupe Twist a suitable choice for this. This shade can be combined with a light grey, but also with orange, which can be found in your brick wall, for example.
No orange brick wall in your home? Then paint an orange wall yourself with a paint that allows you to create an unfinished limestone effect. Complete the industrial look with black metal furniture or black leather seats.

Taupe in a rustic interior
Go for a warm, cosy taupe colour where the brown undertone is strongly present. Combine with a creamy white or soft yellow shade. But a ton-sûr-ton combination with different taupes or browns is also perfectly possible here. With ton-sur-ton it is important that the shades differ slightly in intensity.
