Barbiecore interior trend: How to combine pink?
Pink is trending in living rooms. And there is only one reason for this: the new Barbie movie.
Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, the leading actors make everyone dream of a pink Barbie life. You see the colour every day on the streets, in shops, on social media and even in new interiors.

Time for a Barbiecore makeover!
Totally into bright Barbie pink? So do we! But how do you dose this pink in your interior? Important: use enough soft shades. This way, you can make your bright colour stand out better, but also create some peace in the room.
Our preference is for one accent wall in Seerose B by Sikkens, but you could just as easily paint your door or cupboard in this colour. The choice is entirely up to you! To get you started, we've highlighted a unique combination with this bright pink for you.

Timeless pink interiors
Want to make the Barbiecore trend your own and take a slightly different approach? Go for soft pink shades such as A0.06.83 or C0.10.80 by Sikkens. For a warm and cosy atmosphere, combine these colours best with earth tones like terracotta or brown. Wood goes also very well in this warm combination.

Prefer a slightly cooler, summery look? Then decorate, for example, with teal cushions, candles or curtains. Accent areas in teal would also do well here. Tips and tricks for colour blocking can by the way, be found in this blog post.

Pink or ... pink pink rooms?
Everyone loves pink, as our orders show. For example, pink interiors are shared millions of times under the hashtag #barbiecore. And since the beginning of this year, Pantone, a pink discolour has already been named trend colour of 2023.
We totally support the trends and even go a step further. There are about hundreds of shades of pink, so why not combine pink with another tone of pink? We find it absolutly stunning!

Want to try a pink interior too? Make sure the contrast between the pinks is clearly visible.
For example, choose a bright pink, a dark pink and a soft pink.
