MOTIP Metallic - Decorative Laquer
Description
Motip Metallic is a well-covering, decorative and fast-drying acrylic paint with excellent adhesion for treated and untreated surfaces. The product is suitable for surfaces made of metal, stone, wood, glass and various types of plastic. In addition, its weather resistance makes it perfectly suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
For a good result, the surface to be treated should be free of coarse dirt, dry and grease-free. Remove old loose layers of lacquer and rust with a brush and sand the surface well. Then first apply a layer of white Motip Primer for the best metal effect, if it concerns plastic surfaces apply another layer of plastic primer followed by white Motip Primer. After drying, lightly sand this base coat with 600-grit paper.
The product is best used at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C, working at a distance of about 25 to 30 centimetres from the surface to be treated. Motip Mettalic lacquer is best applied in several thin layers, shaking well before starting the next layer.
Finally, you can apply an extra layer with the Motip Clear Varnish for a long-lasting and durable protection.
You can clean the valve of the spray by holding the nozzle upside down for 5 seconds after use. This prevents the valve from becoming blocked by dried paint residues.
Note: The drying time depends on the ambient temperature, humidity and thickness of the varnish applied.
