How do I apply this Xyladecor opaque stain to my windows and doors?
Preparation: Use tape and a covering sheet to protect your surface, also outside so that your grass or terrace remain protected from paint splashes. Then lightly sand the wood with sandpaper (P180) in the direction of the wood grain. After sanding, remove dust with a soft brush such as Progold's half-moon brush. Staining can almost begin, but first degrease your surface with Berdy Clearline.
Application: Do you have new, untreated wood? Apply 1 coat of Xyladecor Primer Clear Extra BP with a brush. Already treated or stained wood that is still in good condition? Then you can start with Xyladecor Ramen en Deuren Dekkende Beits. You apply 2 to 3 coats in total, respecting the drying times. This allows you to apply the next coat with a paint brush after 8 hours of drying.
Remove the masking tape and clean your painting material with water.
