Sikkens Rubbol BL Satura is a high-quality, waterborne satin interior lacquer offering exceptional scratch and wear resistance.

Description

This lacquer is ideal for the durable finishing of windows, doors and interior woodwork. Thanks to its excellent flow and high opacity, Rubbol BL Satura delivers a smooth and professional finish.

The lacquer is low-odour, non-yellowing when tinted in light colours, and easy to apply, making it highly suitable for indoor use. It is perfect for both professional painters and DIY users. In addition, Sikkens Rubbol BL Satura dries quickly and hardens efficiently (approx. 6 hours).

The substrate must first be treated with a waterborne acrylic primer such as Sikkens Rubbol BL Primer. Rubbol BL Satura can also be applied over existing, cleaned and sanded alkyd resin lacquer layers.

When is Sikkens BL Satura dry?

This interior lacquer has an average drying time of approximately 6 hours. After 6 hours, it can generally be recoated, allowing multiple coats to be applied within one day.

How long can Rubbol BL Satura be stored?

Unopened containers can typically be stored for up to two years (sometimes longer) without quality loss. As with other lacquers, store the product in a location where the temperature remains between 5°C and 30°C.

If the lacquer has been stored for more than two years, it is advisable to check its quality before use. Deteriorated waterborne lacquer can usually be identified by an unpleasant or sour odour.

How to use this Rubbol BL Satura lacquer

First of all, you always need a good preparation. You'll have to clean and degrease the surface, let it dry thoroughly and sand it if necessary.

Protect anything that shouldn't be painted, such as the window or wall, to paint tamper-free. Use tape and cover foil if necessary.

Next, apply Sikkens Rubbol BL Primer as a primer. The number of coats (the actual coverage) depends on what you're painting. Usually, you do need two coats of primer.

Finally, you can finish with one or possibly two coats of Rubbol BL Satura.

What colours is this Satura lacquer available in?

Perhaps the easiest answer is for us to tell you which colours it isn't available in. Screen colours and special effect colours, such as pearl, metallic or fluorescent, are unfortunately not among the possibilities. Other than that, you can have this lacquer mixed in just about any colour. It doesn't matter whether it's RAL or NCS, or a Sikkens, Levis, Trimetal, Sigma colour,...
