Sikkens Rubbol BL Satin - water-based lacquer

An indoor silk gloss lacquer with good flow and high efficiency of around 10-11m²/l.

Description

This satin gloss topcoat for wooden windows, doors and other woodwork that has been pre-treated with a water-based acrylic based primer. Can also be used on cleaned and sanded synthetic paint layers and on hard PVC.

Remarks

The following types of wood, among others, may show bleeding of contents: Iroko, Merbau, Dark Red Meranti, Western Red Cedar, Oak and Afzelia. In Pine and Spruce, knots can sometimes cause yellow discolouration. These should be pre-treated with e.g. Rubbol BL Isoprimer.
Waterborne products are sensitive to rubber containing plasticizers, such as draught strips. The paint film may be affected by the plasticizers, making it soft and sticky. Preferably use profiles made of EPDM rubber. Ask the supplier for advice beforehand.
