Trimetal Colour Index
Colour Index is the basic Trimetal colour chart for professionals, containing over a thousand colours. It was composed by AkzoNobel's colour specialists, and is divided into 8 colour groups: 4 warm colour groups (red, orange, yellow and lime) and 4 cold colour groups (green, turquoise, blue and purple). It also contains 12 neutral greys that can easily be combined with the other colour groups.
Tools for determining the right Trimetal colour
Online tools
You can have a look at the Trimetal colours online. Select a colour family, have a look at the colours that are in it, pick out your favourite and write down its colour code.
Trimetal also offers an app that displays all Trimetal colours as well. Comes in handy if you're picking colours on location, or from your sofa :)
Yes, you've found THAT colour! What's next?
Try it out first...
You can order a small size paint can, that has just enough paint in it to try out a certain colour (or a couple of colours next to each other) on a sample area in your interior.
Using a set of colour testers might be useful if you're still unsure which colouryou like the most.
Other advantages of applying a sample of the colour: you can view it in your actual lighting and setting. Moreover, you can give yourself some time to get used to the new colour, before painting the entire wall.
...or order it straight away!
Just go to the product page of the paint you'd like to order and fill out the colour code, or the colour name, whichever you prefer. Should anything be not entirely clear to us, we'll get in touch with you.
Ummm, but I don't see a field to fill out the colour code.
Then you're probably looking at the standard white version of the product.
